Susanna Pärlfjärd hired as Manager Standards at the NPC

The NPC has strengthened its secretariat with its third associate. Susanna Pärlfjärd has been hired as Manager Standards. Susanna joins the NPC from the Swedish central bank, the Riksbank. She will be starting her position January 24, 2022. The main responsibility of the Manager Standards is to create, evolve and maintain the implementation guidelines which is a vital part of the NPC Schemes. This will involve close work with the NPC members by leading working groups and task forces regarding payments and implementation guidelines to ensure that progress is being made.

Susanna has many years of experience from banking and financial infrastructure. She has mostly worked with products and services for banks and fund companies with a focus on the development of payments and securities services. At the Riksbank, Susanna has been System administrator for the RIX-system. Among other things, she was an expert in the pre-study of the migration of the RIX-system to the ISO20022 standard and she has been a member of the SWIFT User Group. Before joining the Riksbank in 2020, Susanna spent five years at Euroclear Sweden, being Product Manager for its fund service with a mission to automate and digitize the Swedish fund market, Client relationship Manager, and as a fund specialist at the Clearing & Settlement department. Susanna have also been working for Danske Bank, Carnegie, HQ Bank, and SEB.
