A new Clarification Paper for the Confirmation of Payee (CoP) scheme rulebook has just been produced. The purpose of the paper is to avoid a fragmented approach in the way the scheme rulebook is implemented among scheme participants. The document provides examples for mapping the response reason codes into meaningful messages in the front-end, helping customers make better informed decisions. This also reduces implementation complexity as well as improves customer experience and consistency.
