• Template for Proposing a Change Request in the NPC Payments Schemes

The next Change Management cycle was initiated on August 31, 2023, with a Call for change request for the payment schemes, the NPC Credit Transfer and NPC Instant Credit Transfer Scheme 2023 versions.

The NPC payment schemes are updated every two years to reflect market needs and evolutions in the technical standards developed by international standards bodies, such as the International Organisation for Standardisation. This evolution is guided through a transparent change management process, open to all stakeholders.

Any stakeholder interested are invited to submit their change requests by using this template until  November 30, 2023. All change requests handed in to the NPC will be considered for the 2025 version of NPC Credit Transfer and NPC Instant Credit Transfer Schemes.

The Change Management Process is initiated by a call for change requests and all stakeholders are invited contribute with proposals to changes to the rulebooks by providing change requests. The NPC is then processing all change requests and analyses the legal and technical feasibilities.

All suggested changes to the NPC Credit Transfer and NPC Instant Credit Transfer Schemes will be presented to the market in a three month long public consultation where all stakeholder can comment on all suggested changes.

In line with its commitment to transparency, the Nordic Payment Council will publish its position on each change request received during change management cycle, so that all stakeholders know why their change requests propositions were taken forward or set aside.

Any stakeholder interested can submit their change requests by using the template published on the NPC website under Change Management until November 30, 2023. All change requests handed in to the NPC will be considered for the 2025 version of NPC Credit Transfer and NPC Instant Credit Transfer Schemes.

The Change Management Cycle comes to an end in November 2024, in connection to the publication of updated versions of NPC Credit Transfer and NPC Instant Credit Transfer Rulebooks. The new versions of the Rulebooks will enter into effect in November 2025.
